Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Vows.sg collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data. It was last updated on 26 July 2026.

What We Collect And Why

  • Contact and newsletters: your name, email address, organisation details, enquiry, message, and subscription preferences so we can respond or send the updates you request.
  • Reviews: your vendor experience, rating, display name, and contact details so we can verify, moderate, and publish useful wedding-vendor feedback. We do not publish your email address.
  • Planning account: your email address and the information you enter into the checklist, budget, vendor, venue, seating-plan, and ang bao tools so the service can save, display, and export your plan.
  • Wedding site: couple names, event details, page content, gallery configuration, guestbook messages, and RSVP details. RSVP details may include guest names, attendance, plus-ones, meal choices, and dietary or accessibility notes.
  • Vows Live: event sessions, participant display names, reactions, game activity, messages, and photos that guests choose to upload.
  • Anniversary capsule: letters and guest notes, author names, and opening settings so the capsule can be sealed and revealed on the date chosen by the couple.

Technical Data, Security And Analytics

We process IP addresses, request headers, device and browser information, verification tokens, and hashed rate-limit identifiers to secure the service, prevent spam, investigate abuse, and keep the site reliable. Cloudflare Turnstile performs verification checks. Vercel Analytics and our privacy-focused Umami installation at analytics.fatspoting.com provide aggregate usage and performance information. We do not sell personal data.

Service Providers And International Processing

We use service providers only where needed to operate Vows.sg: Vercel for application hosting and analytics; Supabase for authentication, databases, and file storage; Resend and, where configured, AgentMail for service and contact emails; Cloudflare for Turnstile abuse checks; Umami for analytics; and Google Drive when a couple connects a gallery. A connected Drive gallery stores the folder reference and file metadata needed to display it; the original files remain in the couple's Google Drive.

These providers may process data in Singapore or other countries where they operate. Where personal data is transferred outside Singapore, we rely on the provider's contractual, organisational, and technical safeguards to give it a standard of protection comparable to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.

Retention

  • Vows Live photos are scheduled for deletion 90 days after the wedding date.
  • Wedding sites, planning data, RSVPs, guestbook entries, ang bao records, and anniversary-capsule content remain available while the account or site is active and are removed when the couple completes account deletion, subject to short backup, security, and legal-retention periods.
  • Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages and reviews are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, moderate, maintain records, or resolve disputes.
  • Security and rate-limit records are kept for the shortest practical period needed to prevent abuse and investigate incidents.

Your Choices And Rights

You may unsubscribe from newsletter emails using the link in each message. Couples can edit or remove most planning and wedding-site content in the service and can request account deletion from their account. You may also ask us to give you access to, correct, export, or delete personal data, withdraw consent, or explain how it has been used or disclosed. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and dispute-resolution purposes.
