How much does a wedding banquet cost in Singapore?
Banquet pricing clusters into four tiers. Restaurants and clubsrun under S$1,200 per table — the strongest value if ballroom glamour isn't your priority. Mid-range hotels sit between S$1,200 and S$1,800, the band where most Singapore banquets land. Premium hotels command S$1,800–S$2,500 with grander ballrooms and stronger perks, and the luxury tier — the Shangri-Las, Capellas and Raffles of the world — starts around S$2,500 and climbs past S$4,000 for peak Saturday dinners. Within any tier, weekday lunches typically price 15–30% below Saturday dinner at the same venue.
What “++” really means
Most venues quote “++” prices: the 10% service charge and 9% GST are added on top, and they compound — a S$2,000++ table actually bills about S$2,398 nett. Across a 25-table banquet that's nearly S$10,000 of difference, so compare venues on nett prices (use the toggle above) and budget for the nett figure. Watch the other quiet costs too: corkage if you bring your own liquor, AV overtime, additional car-park coupons, and surcharges on auspicious dates and public-holiday eves.
Negotiating your banquet package
Rates are firmer than they look, but inclusions are negotiable — especially for weekday and lunch slots, off-peak months, and when you book at wedding showcases. Ask for an extra barrel of beer, waived corkage, a day-use room upgrade, or additional invitation cards before asking for dollars off the table price. Get every agreed perk written into the contract, confirm the free-flow duration, and check the minimum table guarantee and the cancellation terms before signing — the contract, not the brochure, is what binds.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a wedding banquet cost in Singapore in 2027?
Across the venues in this list, per-table rates run from under S$900 at restaurants and clubs to over S$4,000 at luxury hotels, with the median around $1,688 per table of 10 before service charge and GST. Saturday dinner is the peak slot; weekday lunches are the most affordable.
What does "++" mean in banquet prices?
"++" means the quoted price excludes the 10% service charge and 9% GST. Both compound, so a $2,000++ table really bills about $2,398 nett. Use the "Show nett" toggle above to compare true totals — a few venues quote nett directly.
Are these prices confirmed by the venues?
Rates marked with a year badge come from that venue's own published packages or brochures, recorded with the source. Older rates are indicative estimates. Either way, always confirm the current package and its inclusions directly with the venue — prices move, especially for auspicious dates.
When should I book my banquet venue for a 2027 or 2028 wedding?
Popular ballrooms release rates 12–18 months ahead and peak Saturday dates go first. If you're marrying in 2027, most venues can already quote you; for 2028, join venue waitlists now and lock in as soon as rates release — early booking often comes with showcase perks.
Do venues charge more on auspicious dates?
Many apply a surcharge on auspicious dates, the eve of public holidays, and public holidays themselves. Cross-check your shortlisted date against our auspicious dates guide, then ask each venue directly what surcharge applies.
How many tables do I need?
Divide your guest count by 10 and round up, then add one or two reserve tables for late RSVPs. Most ballrooms quote a minimum table count — enter your table count in the filter above to hide venues you'd never fit.
